We are the verge of a new season, a new challenge as we embark on our 1st ever season in the NCEL Premier Division.
Below are the thoughts of the gaffer Lee Morris as we look forward to a new rollercoaster ride of football.
🏆 This Saturday marks the start of a huge new chapter for Worsbrough Bridge Athletic. It's our first season at STEP 5, our first-ever FA CUP campaign, and it's something everyone connected with the club can be excited about.
⚽ We're under no illusions – it will be a tough season. There are some big clubs in this league with much larger budgets than ours, but we're not here to make up the numbers. We're here to compete, embrace the challenge, and give everything we've got.
💪 Pre-season has been a mixed bag. We've seen some excellent performances, retained the Charlie Whyatt Cup, and shown what we're capable of. We've also had some disappointing moments, particularly against Athersley, but those games teach you the most. You learn a lot about your players and your team when things aren't going your way. With a few players hopefully returning from injury over the coming weeks, we'll add even more strength to the squad.
👥 Now it's over to all of us. To our supporters, thank you for everything you've done to get us to this point. Once again, we're asking you to get behind the lads, both home and away. Your support makes a real difference, and together we can make this another memorable season.
